Did Nevill Also Call The Police And/Or 999?

The problem with saying that Nevill made two calls is that you then have to account for Sheila.  Is she present?  One a 999 or police call, then the call to Jeremy?  It must be a 999 call, surely?  Sheila flees upstairs when Jeremy answers?  But why doesn't Sheila flee upstairs when Nevill makes the call to the police?  If Nevill calls a local police station, not 999, what is the purpose of this?

Why didn't the civilian operator come forward after Jeremy was arrested and report receiving a 999 call from Nevill?
