Brett was present during the legal proceedings, though I'm not sure if it was just earlier hearings or the trial itself, or both.  There are photos of him with Anji Greaves strolling out of one of the courts, either the Magistrates' Court or the Crown Court (not sure which).  I could look it up and find out, but frankly can't be bothered at the moment.

What I can also say is that after the trial and the guilty verdict, Brett disappeared and went off the radar.
"If the accusation is not proved beyond reasonable doubt against the man accused in the dock, then by law he is entitled to be acquitted, because that is the way our rules work.  It is no concession to give him the benefit of the doubt. He is entitled by law to a verdict of Not Guilty." - R v Adams

Could have been purely for business reasons.
