Problems With The Silencer Evidence: Jeremy's Prior Knowledge of Drawback

Jeremy was a regular gun user.  Surely he would be aware of, or appreciative of, drawback as an empirical phenomenon, and take precautions accordingly?

If the same can be said of the relatives, what conclusions might this lead to?
