Nevill was shot upstairs

The shots to Nevill were pretty lethal too, I should say. The guilt camp seem to think that the bullet cases should be found in close proximity to the firing, but I don't accept that follows.  The bullet cases could have been projected over quite long distances and bounced off walls, and would then have been kicked around by the raid group officers.  Nevertheless, the general position of the bullet cases provides an indication and given the position the cases are recorded as found in upstairs, it is feasible that Nevill was shot on the stairs, perhaps while ascending towards his attacker.

Given the extent of Nevill's injuries and the lack of blood, I also find it more feasible that the bullet cases are found where they are as a result of firing by the assailant from the stairs, rather than from the landing/bedroom.

In any event, the point is that Nevill could move even after sustaining such injuries, hence the question naturally rises: Why could not Sheila move around too, having incurred - if anything - lesser injury at that stage?

Nevill did leave some blood marks, it's more that the amount is minimal: what is recorded for certain is one mark on the landing and one on the jamb of the door between the kitchen and the main foyer.  We assume these were left by Nevill himself, as they match his blood group and he moved through the house along the same route.  The twins did have the same blood group as Nevill, but it appears they were shot in bed and would not have left a large quantity of blood for Jeremy (or Nevill or indeed Sheila) to transfer.

The minimal amount of blood along Nevill's route is an anomaly.  Let's err on the side of the Crown and say that, logically, there must have been blood spots on the stairs and we must make this assumption.  I am given to understand that Stan Jones recorded some in his pocketbook anyway, though how reliable that is would be anybody's guess.  Even then, it's still odd.  Nevill was in his pyjamas, which are loose fitting, so even if we allow for some of the blood to soak in, you would still expect large amounts of blood on the carpets and you would also expect Nevill to touch his wounds and then transfer more of that blood on to the walls and the banisters, etc.

That's before we consider the issues of Nevill being in shock, tired (it's the early hours of the morning, he's a manual worker, and he's just got out of bed), and in pain, and he's been shot four times - one of the pro-guilt people on here even says Nevill must have been shot in bed and that's what woke him up!  Don't ask me.  Wouldn't a 61 year old just fall on the floor if he was shot, especially multiple times?  Wouldn't Jeremy simply kill him, if he was shot in bed?  I struggle to understand it all.
